2000 tt cluster swap
i have the normal audi/vw issue of bad cluster like every jetta and colf i owned before had...
question is can i use a different cluster from another vw/audi in my 2000 tt?
audi tells me no....
but all the clusters are the same... same issues same gauges...
can anyone tell me what the difference is? is there a extra wire or different style plug or what?
i did go to UTI and have advanced electronics courses so if worse comes to worse ill get a tt and passat book and read into the wiring diagrams and see what the difference actually is....
can anyone help? i work on the road as a stainless welder so the 6 days im home a month don't help me figure stuff out lol.

You can switch clusters with another 2000 TT with no problem, 2001 and later cars have an immobilizer . Modulemaster can fix your cluster for a lot less money.

Cluster Problem
The instrument cluster in the TT was the subject of a class action lawsuit. As a result, Audi has bee generous in making allowances for the fitting of new clusters on TTs. I just had mine replaced by the dealer (#3) and Audi picked up 75% of the cost. You might ask...
