2000 TT scheduled maintenance question: Rector lost my maintenance record last time I brought
it in for service and will give me a new one so for now, I can't RTFM. Is the scheduled maintenance for a 2000 every 5K miles until it reaches 50K or is it every 5K miles until it reaches 30K, then becomes every 10K miles until the 50K miles? I spoke to 2 different service people at 2 different dealers and each gave me a different answer, WTF!!
Thanks,
Joe

Oh woops, no--Carlsen. I had bad experiences at Rector, too. Back to the Porsche story . . .
some guy ordered a 996 Turbo with custom options 2 years ago. Car was just received by Carlsen, which notified the buyer. Sales sent the car for a detail prep. Another "customer" walked up to the detailer, who assumed this was the owner of the car. The detailer gave the keys to this individual who took off in the car. A short time later, the real owner visited the detailer--woops!
It was on the news last week!
Anyhow, back to Rector . . . they botched a slew of service items for me, including replacing my broken cd changer with the wrong model (it was also a refurbished unit), breaking my driver-side seat belt retractor during the changer swap, using super glue to "fix" a gaping taillight seal, etc. Their blunders haven't been as bad as what has happened at Carlsen, however.
