Any further updates or input to this problem?

Car alarm goes off erratically. Trying to remote diagnose (car not here, cannot run VAGcom currently): what are common causes for the alarm to go off for no reason?

Does this sound like a bad Central Control Module??
For future reference, signs of a bad CCM (comfort control module) are as follows:

Unable to use key fob to unlock vehicle or open trunk
Unable to open fuel access door with button inside cabin
Unable to open trunk using button inside cabin
No map lights/interior lights
No interior locks

TT Roadsters are NOTORIOUS for leaky rear window seals and conveniently the CCM is located directly underneath the rear window, making it prime to get hit with water and short out. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, it's the CCM. Module master will rebuild your CCM for $200. You will have to pull it though. Easiest way is to do this when you repair the top (buy a new one from Hartz for $500 and find the install wiki on the internet, I did this job last year and it took me about 20 hours working VERY part time on it. Don't buy the audi one because it sucks. The Hartz one is sewn into the top)
