I think I have an issue with the ignition switch, but want to make sure its not an immobilizer problem. I've tried 2 keys with fresh batteries - both act alike. I drove the car running errands this morning - around 30 miles or so, stopped at several places along the way. At my last stop, I went to start the car to leave, and the key turned power on, but felt like something slipped when I turned it to crank the engine. Now, I can't turn power off, it is lit-up like it wants to start, and I can't start it. No codes are present and all show ready/complete. The immobilizer light has come on when I tried to jump start it, and when I loaded it on the trailer, but I can get it to go out if I leave the key in for a minute or more before I fiddle with it. Anybody run into this before? What's broke? Does the immobilizer cause the key to misbehave like this? TIA!
