Default 2004 TTR 225 - problems with purchase..plz help

Hey guys, so I was looking at that 2004 TTR black with vanilla leather, 30k miles, car is like BRAND new except for 1 thing.

The dash display, where it says 67 in the image (this is not the car I'm just making it easy to understand what I'm talking about)

<img src="http://www.rumored.com/vegas/oct-2001/photos/103101/web/PA310094.JPG">

seems whacked and shows some horizontal lines across the display. You can still see the numbers and all, but it's obviously something wrong with the computer or display and it starts showing those horizontal lines messing up the numbers and indicators.

Now, everything else is perfect on this car, I drove it today. My question is, is this problem covered by manufacturer warranty? How expensive is this to fix?

This is why this car is being sold for $25k

My guess is this doesn't fall under warranty and that's why they lowered the price, as this is probably not easy nor cheap to fix.

Common cluster failure. $800+ to replace from dealer.

Yeah, the car still has 20k miles of 50k or 14 months left on the original warranty

Default considered out already. I have 4 replaced between 3 TT's I've owned. Show it to a service

advisor and they will automatically recommend replacement.
