Freon is leaking out, like from the air conditioning system?

Usually freon leaks are due to physical damage (rock through the condenser), or a bad gasket at one of the hose connections.
They make leak detector kits that you can add to the loop and then use a UV light to check where it is coming out.
Engine speed (idle) shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Is it discharging from the compressor by the pulley/clutch? If so, you have a bad seal. Need to replace the compressor unless you have access to the rebuilding parts. If elsewhere, use standard automotive air conditioning system troubleshooting techniques to find and repair the leak.

Thank you Mister Bally - It seems that there's a valve maybe that is malfunctioning - massive cloud of smoke roars from under hood as though the radiator blew - theres no evidence of a leak anywhere and since this happens spontaniously I am not able to observe with hood open - more... the AC compressor and some other components not the evaporator were replaced about 5 months ago. ANd then afterward when the freon discharge happened I took it back to the dealer - they informed me I'd need to spend just south of $3000 to now replace the evaporator and I had drilled them about the evaporator when they replaced the compressor - needless to say I left there without getting the AC fixed HOWEVER in the process of checking it out they must have recharged the freon because it was cooling fine after I left - a few weeks later the whole smoke cloud occurred again - it's a mystery for sure -
