30k sevice soon... Can somebody tell what to expect-the basics. What about these other annoyances...
 

I am going to complain a little louder this time about the peeling clear coat on my wheels. The top left corner of the info display on the dash that begins to darken out after driving for a half hour. The loud popping sound when backing down a drivway and turning-the tie rod ends? Coil packs get replaced even if there was never a problem? This is on an '01 225QC.

30K is what they call a "major" service. Spark plugs means major I guess.

The basics for the 30,000 mile service are printed in the maintenance booklet that came with your car. It is in the black folder that is in your glove box unless you keep it elsewhere.

The popping sound may be bushings on the stabilizer bar, or it may be pads moving when you brake in reverse. Coil packs will not be replaced unless they are defective. If they work properly, they will not be replaced.

The corner of the info display going dark may be the start of a cluster problem. If the dealer determines it is a defective cluster, it should be replaced under warranty.
