after full alignment, experiencing steering wheel shimmy (vibration) in 58-71 mph range only....wheel balance problem or what??<p>IAsTTeve

Wheel balance most likely, but...(long, of course)
could be other things:
Cheap test(if you have two jacks):
1) interchange right front and right rear wheel/tire only. Drive car, note if shimmy changes.(start with left side if you live in Brooklyn)
2) now interchange left side only and drive again.
Shimmy(rim of wheel moves back and forth?) should be much less after either 1) or 2), but you might feel it on the rear, but not in steering wheel.
Have suspect wheel rebalanced, but look for rim damage (the expensive problem).
Wheel rim damaged from pothole hit or similar will vibrate at all speeds. Balance vibration occurs at resonant points. BTW, you should also feel it a little at 30-35 (and at 90-105 too!)
If changing both fronts to back doesn't make a change, repost your problem.

Tires Plus has new balancers, they will find your problem for sure.
Will measure both tire and rim out of roundness, bad tread belts, 2nd and third harmonics of vibrations, any lateral play in rims or tires, and whatever. Looks like a big off wheel balancer but with a road duplicating roller added that rides on the tire when it is spun up, along with a computer readout a rocket scientist would love. Here its $30 per wheel to have it done, but luckily have not needed it yet, smooth as glass all the way up to 130 and the speed limiter cutout.
