Really don't mean to be a hater at all, but this was my first thought upon seeing the sketch; some hints of a more rounded Geo Storm (ok, minus the glass hatch) with last generation Cavalier coupe (i.e., rear hatch trail off) plus the new corporate monstrosity front end.
I'm sure it will look better in person, yet I'm still fairly certain that our current TT's are in no danger of losing their "classic" status. At least based on the sketch, I couldn't even call the new one a "looker". I hope I'm wrong. All IMHO of course, take it or leave it...

looks like a chop too, doesn't it, with it's "face" too low.
that pass. side rear tire (I think) gives it away..
On a positive note, I might be among the first to get to see the new design if it's unmasked in Detroit....
