Ability to "build my own" tie bars...
As most of you have seen I'm looking at installing either KMACs or tiebars in my TT. I have H&R coilovers dropped to the nubs. The question is, is it possible to build my own adjustable tie-bars (like the ones sold by Forge) out of the stock setup? In otherwords, is there any amount of cutting, welding, etc. that could make this work without dropping $600 (which is a lot for me)? Thanks for any input, you all are totally amazing.

Sure.. you could have some fabricated, but I'm betting the cost would exceed $600
You really want to have the work done perfectly...perfectly straight, strong, correct dimensions, hardware, etc. If this was to be done as a one-off in a fabricator shop it would take more time and money than the $600 for the already tried, tested and proven design.
