Default ACK!!!! Curbed a wheel today... :( ugly, ugly, ugly.... about 1/2 the circumference is torn up.

Anyone have a guess as to what it would take to make it at least presentable???? No job = conserve money mode, ie gotta be dirt cheap to do it else it waits.....

Default Curbed my second one yesterday :-{ plus picked up a screw in the tire.

Wheels are $600 apiece from Audi so that is out. My last one I took a dremel tool and cleaned up the rough edges. Its a 10' fix, looks good from 10' any closer and you can tell something is going on.
Wheel repair services might be able to fix it. This coming winter I will see what can be done. They might be able to weld up the lip and grind it to flush again.
I owned a lot of cars with low profile tires and never curbed a wheel until the TT. If it did not have that damn lip that sticks out I might never have ruined it.

I think you can get it fixed for ~$100. Ask around at high-end dealers. They'll give a referral.

Default Damn! I did the same thing yesterday. Hacked the lip to shreds. I think I'll wait until all 4 are

torn up before I do anything. Makes me sick.

I have two 5-spoke wheels for sale, $89 each. Lite curb rash--4 inches. Could be dremeled out.

Hit a pothole at 75, wrecked two tires and two wheels. Hence 2 for sale...
