Default Advice needed

Alright - here's the deal:

Have been testdriving TTs forever and am beyond ready to buy.

Found a 2001 180 HP coupe today with only 19k miles, near perfect condition and the price is a good deal. Only problems I found with it were the "suspension creak" when I went over a speedbump, and it only has one month left on the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty.

So two questions:
1. Will I be sorry if I don't get the 225 HP?
2. Will Audi fix the suspension creak, or are they likely to tell me "there's nothing wrong," "it's normal," "can't replicate the problem," etc.?

Thanks as always.

Yes and the creak is probably just the R or FSB bushings...easy fix.

Default Don't mess around w/ anything but 225hp (or 3.2) if going used.

The used sports car market is way too depressed and loaded with great cars to only go with a 180hp TT. You'll spend all this mod money to get the 180 barely up to the performance of the 225hp when the same mod $ will take you to north of 265ish in HP and more in torque if you start with the 225. Plus, for '01 and on, you get Quattro which if you have an Audi, is what you want.

Good luck....keep looking as there is always another great used car bargain out there. Heck, find one from one of the owners here that has been pampered and has low miles.
