Alignment and Camber adjustment QUESTION!?
How do you go about doing an alignment yourself?
Using these links:
<a href="http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/kmac_suspension_install/install_pics/">Kmac Install - Schwing</a>
<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1101053.phtml">Digital Camber Check</a>
I understand how to shift the arms etc to adjust the camber, but do you do so with the car on jackstands or the car sitting on an alignment rack?
Also how else do you go about aligning correctly?

My experience...
is that full negative camber with even or 1/4" total toe out is great. It depends on how low you are, but you should see about -1 degree on a standard lowered setup... mine is -2.5 and my tire wear is more than acceptable (30k miles on my last set of BGF sports) Rear is really not necessary usually unless you want to bring it back under -1 after lowering, etc.
So, you'll need some sort of toe plates and at least a cheapy camber gauge. Or you could go to les schwab... depends on how often you change it.
