I'm NOT going to do this, but I wonder:
Say you have 60-80k on your belt and go in for the 'inspection' and tell them up front (lie) basically to them that it was done @ 60k
Do you think the response would be different?
I'm throwing this out there for the people that don't think an inspection was done and they just said 'belts bad, replace it'

So what if you did have your timing belt replaced w/o an inspection very early.....
I got my. "we f'd up letter" a month after I had purchased all the parts and had my timing belt replaced. The letter made it seem like they would only help you out if you had catastrophic failure due to the timing belt. I was told my timing belt was fine after they replaced it, but only had it done because of the vast amount of warnings out there about it. If I knew I could have had a free inspection I would definitely have done this. Should I be contacting Audi back on this?? I'm sure this has already been brought up once or twice or ten times. I appologize. I've been out of the loop for a little while, but work decided to remove Smart filters, yay.
