All of you with FMIC X-chips...
Gary (gesTTalt) and I seem to be having a small issue with our new GIAC FMIC X-chip's. In 2nd gear, under hard load (or light load in his case as well), the car ramps up to 3500 and then "surges" on it's way to 4000 and is clean after that all the way to 7200. I was at first thinking my DV might need a rebuild, but he just rebuilt his. Any thoughts on this? Anyone else have this problem?

Tyler, just emailed Moses (Chaka) and he noted that he did have a flat spot, but
only temporarily (as of now). He mixed 94 octane, I guess with 91. I don't think it's the gas, as I am running 93 octane.
Moses did mention something I was also thinking - the ECU could still be adapting. Just a thought. I still have my APR chip, so if I need to go back to my "spare" I can.
Anyone else with the X-chip have any thoughts?

I've put a bunch of miles on mine... it should only take at most a 100 miles to adapt.
If everyone has the exact same problem, I'm leaning towards the software has an issue. It is the first release, so I'm sure that it will need small revisions to perfect. In my opinion, it's 98% there. I love the power and really, really, really love the torque. The surging is not a huge issue, but it needs to be brought to their attention.

I haven't noticed any issues with mine...
though I don't have a lot of miles on it yet. I ran it in a Pro Solo and around my neighborhood, and everything seemed fine. As soon as I get my suspension back on the car (hopefullly tonight), I'll do some test runs and see if I have the same type of problem.
