Default ALMS Wheel/Tire Size

Just picked up a set of ALMS wheels, and I'm going to order Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S to go with them. Should I go with 225 or 235? Are the ALMS 8" or 8.5" width? Recommendations? TIA.....

Default I'm almost positive they're 8". 225/40/18 will be the best fit to match stock rolling diameter...

but 235/40/18 will also work. Speedometer will be about 2mph slow at 70mph.

Default I went with 225/40 ZR 18's to be sure no speedo issues. Went with Pirelli P-Zero Nero's and........

love them!! Much less road noise than OEM Pilot Sports and they stick like glue.

Default Re: thanks for the info

Thanks guys.....was hoping to get a bit more meat on the road with 235's, but putting them on an 8 inch rim will pinch them a bit. Hmmmmmm.....decisions, decisions, decisions!

Default No it won't

I run 235/40/18s on my wheels which are 18x8s. I'm running S03s which are known to run wide and have no issues with rubbing or anything. In fact I like the setup more because I've got more curb protection for the rims and the slightly tall sidewall gives a bit more cushion for potholes. And yes, it does look a bit more meaty, especially with the S03s.

Good point - hadn't thought about increased pothole protection with the 235 sidewall, and our lovely Massachusetts roads love potholes. 235's on order!
