In reality, they are really slow. It is all a marketing gimmick from Mercedes....

One of our former TT owners defected to the other side and bought the AMG SLK. She is quite happy with it and it screams like a raped ape. Needless to say there is not much on the road that can hang. Her *handle* is 225TTR
Ask her all about it...she still hangs here with us lowly folk

Yup, you're just late.... ;-)
It's called the SLK32 AMG and does 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. It has the AMG engine, AMG Speedshift transmission, brakes, suspension, exhaust, seats, wheels, etc. and is a total blast to drive. The Quattro Club was even kind enough to let me on the track with them in early October at Summit Point and it was great fun. (When I signed up I owned a modified 225 TT Roadster.)
