Default Am I the only one that gets crazy about people talking on Cell phones while driving?

My pet peeve of the week:

This morning...I'm cruising down the fast lane around 70+ along with everyone else...All of a sudden the woman in front of me slows down to like 55-60 and won't move over, so I finally get to a spot and go around her...When I look over, she's got her cell phone in one ear balanced on her shoulder and eating a muffin! Geeze!

Do people not understand what the lanes mean anymore?
The GO lane, The SLO lane and The NO lane...
At least that how my dad used to put it when he was a truck driver.. :-)

Hang up the Phone and Drive already!!! What could possibliy be that important at 7am! Sheesh

I use my cell phone in my car, but I have a hands free kit with Voice dialing!

Sorry...Just my morning OT over coffee rant...

We now return you to your normal programming...

I totally agree. In fact, I don't even answer the cell phone in the car unless I'm already wearing my handsfree headset. I just wish that the Moto in-car cellphone kit for the TT included a really small (V60c?) portion that could be easily removed and taken with when not in the car. Instead, I have to use my LG-TM510 with wires dangling, but I'll cope ;-)

Default Nope. New York law effective in Nov. prohibits hand-held cell phone use when driving.

Driving while holding and talking is too much for many folks' brains to handle. It's sorta like being able to walk, talk and chew gum simultaneously. Not everyone can.

I admit to missing a turnoff while talking on a cell phone. No more.

Default What's the 'NO lane?' Is that why everyone is crammed into 2 lanes,

when there are 3 lanes?

Default What I really hate is when I'm walking to work as some friggin'

farmer is grazin' his gawd-awful cows on our fields, and I have to stand there and wait for the stooopid cows to finish chewing their cud, and make methane, amd they always take their own sweet time to pass, batting a flirtatious eyelash and with a coy little "moo," and avoid all their fecal land mines, so as I don't soil my oxfords... Oh, The Humanity (or, is that Bovinity?)

Heh, heh... Mornin' Mark... ;-)

Default Nope, you are not alone...

On the way home from work yesterday, a lady driving in front of me in a MB S500, was on a hand held cell phone while smoking.

At one point I saw her hanging her cig out the window, phone between her shoulder and ear while her right arm was resting on the passenger seat head rest.

I guess some people just don give a f^%$ for others safety.

Default been the law since before then on Long Island . . . but things seem worse lately . . .

I am seeing more and more people NOT using handsfree kits and holding the phone cradled on their shoulder or holding it with one hand. They always slow to a crawl!

I was behind one person that was doing 40-45mph on the parkway the other day!!!
