Default Use the 5w40 Euro blend. I plan on converting to it once I get another 3-4K mi on

my 40K mi TT checkup oil. Have run Amsoil in my S4 for ~4yrs+, previously a M1 user...

Default if you're going to spend that much on oil and have to order it

then try the mobil turbodiesel truck 5w-40. it's been proven through VOA's over on the oil forums to be more robust.

although if you can pick up amsoil locally give it a shot...

oh, and it meets API-SJ ratings for warranty approval issues. not sure if amsoil does or not. most will physically meet the standards but some are not subjected to the test to find out...beancounters

mobil 5w40 TDT

Default Yea, but . . .

I'm marksk1's friend and I suggested to him the Euro blend or the high performance, because recently many people have spun bearings on the WRX (stock and modded) using Mobil1 5-30 which I am using right now and more of these threads are popping up over on NASIOC.com. I am switching to Amsoil ASL 5w-30 this week to be rather safe than sorry. Price wise it's only a couple dollars more for me than M1.
