Angel eye idea...
I am thinking of picking up a pair of these and seeing how they might fit. Does anyone know how big the ring needs to be? I would seal up the transformer..and they are designed to be run on 12V. It shouldn't be too hard to remove the lights to get them usable.

I got the neon wire @ Target. 8 bucks for 6 feet, which is more than enough. I bought 2 blue ones because you need a transformer for each light. The signal light is a clear signal...I just didn't use a yellow bulb.

Thoughts on using say a yellow neon wire for the turn signals?
Where in Target do you find this wire? and what did you tap into for light- the parking light connector I would assume, could you shoot me a few more technical details about taping them?

Since I am on my bro's computer, i will post the details here. The wires were found in the automotive section in target. They close to all of the gawdy stuff like the neon tubes and the cheap cell phone holders. The were called Neon Wires I think. Now as far as tapping for the neons goes, I was going to do it Tub style by tapping to the parking light within the headlight housing, but I didn't feel like splicing into the parking light wires inside of the headlight. Instead, I wrapped the neon wires right onto the metal contacts of the parking light housing, and screwed in the light. It was much easier, and it allows for easier trouble shooting later, if I have any problems.
PS. The neon wires come with a transformer, and a 12V ciggie lighter plug. all I did was cut the plug off, and attatched the wires to the parking light bulb housing. I attatched the wires using the plastic coated wire ties that came in the neon wire package, and I also used the glue to make sure nothing moves. The glue was simple CA glue.
