Default Another Guage Question

Hello, in my 01 TT the tech works when ever I hit a pothole and living in NYC potholes are something you cant avoid. So if its a big one. The tech begins to works with out the problem. If I hit another big pothole the tech gauge moves in an irregular way basically its like sticking and then it drops to zero. From the another car i have a data logger so when I plug it in I get full rpm reading. Now I know that gauge issue is a common problem with the TT's but maybe someone also had a similar problem. and If the question arises the fuel gauge reading reads all the way up all the time unless ive driven about 200+ miles the needle drops to 3/4 full. In the FAQ's i read that its the sending unit problem I cleaned the brush but it seems that it had no effect. I didn't remove the sending unit out of the tank. If anyone have any advice about both of the problems any help would be appreciated.

Default check the fuses>>>

on top of the battery. They can get corroded and cause electrical gremlins...

Also replace your temp sensor with a green one...

Default long standing issue with the TT>>>

and the temp sensor has been a problem for many, and cured MANY different electrical gremlins....

Search the forum archives, plenty of info on it....general pricing, location and how to fix is well documented.

Thanks I just searched and found the part number and location of it. Going to go to a dealer and pick it up. Its about 10$ price difference from other prices Ive seen, thanks I hope that will fix the problems.

Well I replaced the temp sensor and the problem is still there. So is it possible that its the gauge cluster. And is there a way to find out if it is?
