Any 19-23 year olds paying for full coverage (insurance) on here?

curious as to what prices you guys are paying monthly. I am currently an a6 guy but I want a tt, always have. However if i get one itll be low mileage and financed. which brings about full coverage. As I am 19 y/o and never any help from mommy and daddy, the estimated cost for FC is roughly $340/month (esurance) if i were to finance a tt. (2001 225 quattro for example).

$700 per month for finance and insurance...

if you're not putting a downpayment on the TT. Gotta feel for the young kids on insurance. $4K plus is nothing I would want to pay at your age. I bitch at $1,200 per year, and I'm 47!

I'm now 24, but was 23 when i got the TT ... I'm paying $103.67/month for full coverage with geico... never had a ticket.

I got mine when I was 22. That was in '02, and the TT was '01. I paid ~$1k/6 mos.

That was not including my payments.

But that was also in Cleveland-area Ohio.

Your results may vary, of course, but also keep in mind that mk1 TTs aren't all that spendy anymore either.

I pay $2800 a year for full coverage on my TT and my Subaru 2.5RS (both year-round). I'm 23. It is dependant on a lot of things other than your car and age too remember.

zebinheimer 10-30-2008 03:43 PM

yeah the majority of my cost is due to living on long island, upstate was waaay cheaper.

300ShooTTer 10-30-2008 03:51 PM

I'm 22, had the car since I was 20.

Full coverage is $180 per month with 1 ticket on my record(I think).

47 and $1200!?!? Wow, about $660/yr for the TT. Am told by USAA San Diego is comparable to Norfolk

insurance-wise. So, not anticipating a big change either way.

$1200...I think that's pretty steep. CANNOT imagine paying $4k/yr...what a rip.

revisiTTed 10-30-2008 04:07 PM

Portland insurance is a rip. Of course insurance is different everywhere.

And I am still suffering credit blemishes from a divorce so that plays into things. My insurance will be much, much lower as my last accident is coming of as of Nov. 1 this year. My next payment I hope should be down around the $700 per year range.

Milpower 10-30-2008 04:09 PM

Time, brother, time. Hope it gets lowered soon (I've a starter marriage as well...paid my dues).
