Any bike rack updates for TTR?

Any bike rack updates for TTR?
We have the Audi roof rack for TTC (the bike holder part comes with Trek & VW decal, like we need more confusion about what brand this car is!?).
But what about the roadster?
I guess barring a trailer hitch (apparently another lost cause), we're stuck with a trunk-based rack (I hate those, but...). Any recommendations or warnings about brands/models?
For now, we'll carry the bike on the TTC, but someday I can imagine the TTR needing to do the job...
