Anyone else ever have AWD issues or are mine Uneek? (LONG)
What should I do now?
Just got my car back from the shop and the guy did a bunch of tests.
He stated that all of the tests were pointing to the Haldex. Not the Haldex controller, but the actual unit itself.
The pump test as well as all electronics tests checked out ok. He also stated that the drive shaft was turning, but the wheels were not.
I think I might be looking to buy a Haldex or a complete rear axle and assembly soon.
Yes, I am bummed...... but hopefully it will get fixed.
I am amazed that the car was like this since day 1 and I had no idea. I have never owned an AWD car before so I really did not know what to look/feel for and now that I know, I have to get it fixed so I know what it feels like to have that AWD experience, especially @ auto-x.
Should I bring it back to this guy (btw, this guy is very super knowlegable, but he does not know all that much about TT's, but he is a master mechanic and has worked on Audi, VW, BMW, Porsche and many more for many years, I totally trust him) or should I bring it to a dealership (stealerships are not my favorite, but they might know something) or is there something that someone here knows?
Steve (most here know who I am talking about without even mentioning which shack he comes from) just emailed me some tests, and I will try those but I am pretty sure that my TT will fail
I would just like to see if anyone else has had any issues like this with AWD.
TIA,
Adam
P.S. I do not want to have to start all over again buy selling this TT and buying another, it might end up like this:
