Default Anyone else had very bad rattling problems with the 42DD downpipe?

I had the 42DD dp, test pipe version, and it was rattling like mad. At times it's even louder than my exhaust! Is anyone having the same problem with the fitment or is it just the install?
I couldn't stand the rattle, so I had the OEM one reinstalled this morning.

The shop said it's an 8hour job and they charged me CAD$530 (4hr + alignment) to get the OEM back in. Anyways, my DP is up for sale if anyone wanna take them. Used for 2 months, about 1000km on it. I am located in Downtown toronto. Shoot me an email if interested john10417@hotmail.com

Default That's too bad, I think there were easy fixes for this:

I think you either needed to tighten or re-apply new bolts (with the applicable spacer), and/or bought a new poly "dogbone mount" bushing. Did you hear any "clunking" upon changing gears, etc.? That could've been the flexpipe portion of the DP hitting the cross-brace (esp. with your roadster, this has been a discussed issue). Consult LowCountry.

Default Well..>

TTStuff.com is down, so I'd try ECSTuning.com and look at their poly dogbone bushings there. I went with the Energy Suspensions poly bushing, and you maybe able to search their site (Google them). You want to install the main two bushings and not the round one.

Also, you possibly need to retorque your bolts to the exhaust manifold. It's definitely precautioned to retorque all bolts (including flexpipe) because the 42DD DP has been known to loosen. You best consult a mechanic in this case, he'll/she'll know where to tighten.

Default 42DDs should not be rattling. Especially if...

adjust the heatshield and install poly motor mounts. That will solve the issue.
