Default Anyone familiar with setting the speed warning alarm - Type 1 and 2?

I don't have my manual handy and remember there is a setting for this on the HUD. TIA.

I've set mine by accident a few times, but I guess that's not what you're asking.

Default It's in the owners manual, but from memory... >>

The speed warning #1 goes off about 5 mph OVER the point at which you set it (Example: if you set it at 65, it will chime at 70mph). When you reach your selected speed, press the left button once (the same button that sets the time & date). The amber (mph) symbol will light up for a couple of seconds to let you know it's set. When you exceed that speed by 5mph, it will chime and light up. You turn if off by dropping below your set speed for X number of seconds or you press and hold that left button for 2 secs.

I've never set warning #2, but it's set when the car if off (or not moving).

Default Actually not useless...

you can actually DRIVE your car and just use it as a warning not to get too enthusiastic in areas that are known speed traps. If you set the cruise, the car drives itself... this feature lets YOU drive, but allows a gentle tap on the shoulder if you get carried away.

I agree. Sometimes you get lost in the action.

Default #1 @80, #2 @120..>>

#1 got too annoying to I changed it to 100
now it doesn't go off quite as much

my 987 has the same feature but setting it is different: only while parked and you can set the exact speed
