anyone have experience with the "punched leather" oem steering wheel?
i was surprised to find out from martyn@vagparts that in addition to the leather and alcantara steering wheels, there is a third wheel available for our car which has "punched leather". we were unable to find any photos of the tt version, but believe it looks like this:

... only in a tt fitment.
the idea of having something unusual and oem is tempting, so i'm close to ordering this.
thoughts?

what do you think of it, compared to the normal leather and alcantara?
personally, of the three options, i'm leaning towards it because (a) it's something a bit different and (b) it shouldn't wear as badly or stand out as much as alcantara.

i like it, though i haven't felt an alcantara wheel ...
it feels nice and looks pretty cool! but your tastes may be pickier than mine ;-). even though the ultra sport has the "punched leather" shift **** to match, it could look good inside the tt with the dimples.
i'll do a 'feel test' tomorrow -- comparing an oem tt wheel and the "punched leather" wheel, if you'd like

An "air leder" (Audi's term for it in the Fatherland) steering wheel has been part of the...
