Anyone have experience with Diablo Audi?
They're in Concord, Ca. I brought in the Demon for the 5K service and hoped to get my Euro mirrors on (yeah, it's supposed to be easy to install and all, but I am a wuss!). No joy. They will not install any parts from the customer -- even if they are Audi parts! (I am kinda surprised they let me use Mobil 1!) Just wondering if anyone has anything to say about Diablo... And do your local dealers have the same rules?

Mixed bag with me - bought both my A4 Avant and TT there
but don't use them for service anymore as I can't trust them to actual do the work they say they've done. If you want more details email me.

I just had my fourth service visit to Diablo... been quite good...
three oil changes and one visit for a loose sensor wire. I'm on a first name basis with several people there and they treat me well. I purchased my TT from them also.
They haven't said anything about my aftermarket stuff-- but I didn't ask them to install any of it either. My general feeling is that they know better then to install aftermarket parts for liability reasons. They are probably covering themselves in case something goes wrong and either Audi refuses to cover them on a warranty issue, or you sue them, or worse. In case you didn't know, Audi of America is taking a harder line on any aftermarket parts, so I can't blame a dealer for avoiding a bad middleman situation.
Mirrors aren't too bad to do yourself-- and Diablo doesn't have the tool for them anyway.

Re: Anyone have experience with Diablo Audi?
Damn. Seems like I am in the minority here. They did say they wouldn't install them for liability reasons -- Livermore Audi said no problem, though. And they said that installing any aftermarket part (I had been asking about the Forge DV) would render the warranty -- or at least the warranty for any parts affected by the aftermarket part -- void.
Never had a problem with Diablo, just thought that the service policy was a bit strict.
