Default Anyone have pictures of the different shifter cable mount styles?

Can you identify which style the shifter has with the stock hardware still mounted? Getting mixed info from a few retailers stating that there might have been a split in the 2001 model year.

Huh? Am I the only one that doesn't understand your question?

Default I don't know, verdict is still out, you're the only responder so far.

What's confusing about it? There are two different style mounts on the shift mechanism that the shifter cable attaches to. Typically I've seen advertised that 2001 6-speeds have one, while 2002+ have the other style, but that info has been muddied by some vendors advertising their items differently. I'm trying to clear that up. I was hoping there might be a visual check with all the stock items still mounted in the car. If so, would be a nice item for the FAQ, otherwise, I guess maybe someone has more production details on this, or those with 2001s will just have to get greasy and take off the cable and check before they order.

That makes better sense. Maybe I'm being a little oblique today.

Default The shift linkage cable connection to the shift plate was changed....

From a socket(pre 01) to a shaft connectinon that stayed on with an e-clip 01 on.

Default OK Greg, I'll try to get a pic of mine still in the car and this weekend...

we'll take a pic of yours and see if there are any visual differences (while fully installed) to identify and throw that in the FAQ.
