Default Anyone installed larger rotors on the rear brakes. Can the front rotors be moved to the rear??

I'm travelling and my TT is in for its 30k service. I installed the 18" ABT a25's Saturday and now you can see the Stoptechs and the really small rear rotors very well now.

I didn't really take a close look at the rear brakes while the wheels were off, but I would really like larger rotors more for looks than anything else.

Has anyone installed larger rotors on the rear and kept the same calipers?

Default No...you lose the parking brake...However MoviT.com (edited)

offer porsche rears for the TT if you arent afraid to pony up that kinda money...ECS Tuning will be offering a 12" rotor in the very near future, utilising the oem caliper as not to upset mastercylinder balance...this is what I am waitng for...
I expect it will include a caliper bracket and a larger dust shield and for 180's a new bearing kit...

Default Thanks, Brain Fart today on my part. I knew I had to take care of the

parking brake. Thanks for the info about ECS. I'll email Tom and see where it's at.

Default Quick part number check cross reference shows similar part numbers for FWD and Quattro 180's

for the rotors 1J0 615 601 with the only difference being Quattro's have a "D" and FWD's either have no suffix or "C" depending on year and model. IF the rotors on quattro and fwd are the same then this kit will work.

Default What were the differences? Apparently these are stock rotors from another VAG product with the

correct bolt pattern. Can't figure it out for the life of me though.
