Default If the noise is inside the car, you can check...

the switch that disconnects the cruise control when you depress the clutch. That switch just clips in place, you can remove it by rotating it a bit. That way you can operate the pedal without it in place. I had to remove the under dash panel to get at that switch.

Or it could be where the pushrod enters the clutch master cylinder. Again that's inside the car on the firewall. You can see that without removing the panel.
