Anyone want to trade their spoiler-less silver coupe trunk hatch lid for a spoilered lid from me?

Default Anyone want to trade their spoiler-less silver coupe trunk hatch lid for a spoilered lid from me?

In my beginning journey down the dark side, I have decided to go sans-spoiler. I am scouring the used parts market for one as well, but others thought that someone here might be interested in a trunk lid swap. E-mail me if interested.

Default You could buy a new one from the dealer... the come sans spoiler...

about $800 though. I have considered doing this and retrofitting a Boxster mechanism... but my name isn't Rockefeller, so I'll have to be content to dream. :-)

Default What kind of a premium are you prepared to pay. I'd sell mine IF "the price is right" ;)

But I REALLY REALLY love the look of dual exhaust and no spoiler, so that price might be kinda high!

Default Why didn't you ask the dealer to swap out your rear lid while at the dealer

today? You said you test drove a 180TTQ today, why not ask them to swap it out for you?

Default Didn't actually cross my mind, but good point...

though we're talking about two used cars, mine and the 180... my paint has been treated like gold... didn't scutinize the 180 paint. Then there is the issue of sun fading, differences in the paint itself, etc...

Default can't hurt to have another look at the 180. :)

that car could have been as babied as yours was. Ask if the 180 owner traded in on a 225, then I would think they took somewhat good care of it.

Paint fade should be occuring within 2 years, not even in the desert!
