Default Anyway to get Fader to work in O1 Coupe?

Recoded the radio for better BASS. Shame to have rear speakers and they don't get used.

I did a search but couldn't run across anything that said how to get FADER to work.

Saw a couple of posts where people had the radio replaced and the one that was reinstalled worked with the FADER and used the rear speakers.

I have the Bose Concert and CD player in the rear seat area.

Default Even on my Kenwood there is no fader .....

When the guy was installing it he asked why the fader wasnt working and I told him that I was never able to get it to work with the bose system, he then told me that most early Audi's in general did not have fading capabilities for whatever reason, I thought it was strange, but oh well.

Default The rear speakers work best with>>>

the fader in the full front setting in my 01 coupe. It seams to give more bass tones only though. I took off a rear side panel to make sure they worked at all. with the fader in the middle setting the speakers barely vibrate at all and of course set to rear and enjoy the silence. My owners manual says it is possible to add additional rear speakers.

Default You have to have dealer de-program the Bose option...

or use a VAG-COM to do it yourself. When I installed an amp, subwoofer and all new speakers, I asked the dealer to de-program the Bose option on the headunit. They obliged.

Word about this...before I installed new speakers, I drove around with stock bose speakers and the headunit de-programmed. Though I had fade, it sounded like doo-doo.

Default IIRC recoding the radio for more bass is >>

the same thing as decoding the Bose. I did the same thing and my fader has never worked either.
