Default APR S3 question....seems some are stating 350whp....didn't APR claim 383crank??>>>

Is there another kit that gives ~ 450 crank on 93? That's what you'll need to put 350 to the wheels w/quattro.
383 going to 450 .........?

Default Why don't you just believe APR instead of forum speculators...>

They're generally conservative too..

There was a pretty big thread a wek or so ago where APR explained everything including their testing methods..

Default Brett from APR stated that they dyno'd 346 whp with the haldex disconnected.....

uncorrected. They also dyno'd the kit on their Dynapak AWD HUB dyno at about 10-12 whp more and that was SAE corrected. It is VERY easy to believe these WHP figures if you have followed ANY modified 1.8T's over the years. CRANK HP numbers are MEANINGLESS without stock basline dyno figures to base the increase on. I will say it again - 350 whp is what I would EXPECT out of this setup.

Default I totally agree with this point, however some people are STUCK on #'s.....

and miss the whole point. If i'd have spent what Petervan has spent on his car only to have it run as poorly as it does i'd probably asking alot of questions as well :-)

Default You could also just go to their website for their side of the story...
