Armor All

I hate the spray bottles...I hate how the spray gets on my clean wheels...and I hate how it clouds up when you try to wipe it off. I've been using a 2" paint brush to put it on the tires for a long time. So last night I'm at Home Depot to replace my old brush, but instead I bought a 2.5" trim roller from the paint department and proceeded to spray a bit of Armor All on to it as a test...

It took me less than three minutes to do all four tires and the door jams. I didn't get any drips on the wheels, there was no excess mess, and it looks great.

Just a tip from a young guy who's probably telling this to those old guys that have been doing it this way for years :)

another possibility:

the foam applicators that they sell at all auto parts stores. They're sort of curved, and if you cut one in half, it's the perfect height for low profile tires. Also, i've heard that armor-all isn't so good for tires...

get some tire shine, it looks better for longer and won't cloud your wheels

Aerospace 303 Protectant.

Armor All is matte, I like those shiny sprays. >>>

I use a thick foam. I spray directly to the foam (not the tires) and apply it so as not to touch the rims. 3 minutes is too long - takes me 2 minutes to do 4 tires.

I would rather be a Stoner

I have been using Stoner products since TT-east and I really like the tire shine a whole big bunch!

actually, their high gloss is quite nice, I use it on my interior...

gets rid of that flat charcoal dry look.

The best!

I like Endurance...lasts the longest...and you can >>>

apply coats to get "levels" of shine....FWIW

Normally I use Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss

love that grape kool-aid smell...but as it hasn't been delivered yet, all I had was the AA, I had to do it...I couldn't look at those new grey tires anymore!

I don't put anything on my interior...I never will.

I've tried the applicator sponge, it's nice, but those vertical grooves can be a pain, and the lettering sometimes rips up the sponge.

Spray on? I get that stuff all over the place...which is probably why I don't have kids either...;)
