Ask and you shall receive -- re: Audi TT mk II spy photos
With near impeccable timing, Hans G. Lehmann delivered a spy photograph of a partially clad Audi TT mk II roadster. I would like to think that the series of recent posts on this forum had something to do with the appearance of the photograph, but that's wishful.
I could not help but notice that the door visible in the photograph has many of the design elements found on the Nuvolari Concept car first seen in 2003. The second generation car appears larger, as earlier reports have suggested. A longer car is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if one considers that the car may weigh less than the current car. A redistribution of weight could result in better balance then the current 60/40 fore-aft distribution. This coupled with possible upgrades to the Haldex awd system could produce a better handling car.
I, personally look forward to seeing the new TT mk II. I will admit that I had my doubts of the car's existence over the past few months given the paucity of information and "spy" photographs available.
Cordially,

About six months ago, an Automotive News article stated...
that the new TT would have an aluminium body. Given the size increase, a 100 lb weight decrease is probably optimistic but it's a move in the right direction.
