Default 2006 Audi TT 3.2 Special edition questions

Hi! I recently purchased a 2006 Audi TT 3.2 and I have a few quick questions!
I have done some research and have noticed that it is fairly common for the LCD display in the center of the gauge console to slowly fade away and I was just wondering if it was something important that I should get replaced or not. From what I understand is that it displays extra things but nothing to important. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Also I have noticed that when I press down the accelerator it takes about half a second to actually accelerate. What could be causing that?
That's all the major stuff I need to know, but I am loving the car its awesome!
And living in Indiana the AWD is gonna be a blast to drive around during the winter.

The center display is important because that is where the failure alerts are displayed.

Get that LCD replaced. Tanin Auto Electric in Racine, WI is a nice day drive away if you want to take the car there, remove the dash display in the parking lkot and have them replace it while you wait. Otherwise, send it in to them or Module Masters.

If going to Tanin, call and make an appointment so they will be ready for you. Just showing up probably won;t work out well.

Also, for your Haldex AWD system, be sure the filter and fluid has been changed per the maintenance schedule. You may want to test the system as the pump motors have been known to fail if they are not exercised as the cars get older.

Both of my cars have some missing lines of pixels in the center display but not so bad that I cannot read info displayed. I’ve never bothered to have them repaired but Module Masters is one firm that people have used and posted favorable reviews.
I expect that the hesitation you describe is from a stop. That is a characteristic of the early DSG transmissions. I’ve never had one but it has been mentioned on forums over the years. Yes do get a filter and lube and service the Haldex. It’s an often neglected item. Unique to the TT and A3. ( and VW R32)
Did you by any chance buy the silver 1 of 99 Roadster that was recently listed on EBay?
