Audi of America Rep in So. Cal re: DV
Dateline: Today
Location: So. Cal
Topic: DV Valve on 1.8ltr TT's
The So. Cal Audi Rep went in to see my dealer this afternoon. Upon questioning, Eric B. (don't know the last name but he is the Audi Rep.) told dealer that there is a PERMANENT fix for the Turbo By-pass Valve issue that I and many other owners are experiencing. Dealer is to call Service Hotline tomorrow and obtain information on part number and service bulletin #.
Audi is "very aware of problem and has a fix"...
So, do I believe it? NO. Will my dealer call tomorrow with the infamous "H" fix? Most likely. Thought I would post what I know for now.
Here's to Bailey's for the entire TT Fleet!<p><a href=mailto:"azsyno@aol.com"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/sigred2jpg.jpg"

After 3 days at my Audi Dealer...they tell me there ISN'T A PROBLEM !!..How
can my Dealer tell me they test drove the car and found nothing wrong w/ it. Why then has its acceleration decreased tremendously...and it honks like a goose ??!!...I've asked for the test results for turbo boost PSI and they tell me they don't know...????...I'm going to test drive my car w/ a technician tomorrow and their only reasoning was that one of their own has a TT and finds its the same....This is ridiculous !!!!
P.S. Audi if you're listening....why not supply the TT w/ its own Turbo Boost gauge ????!!!!!
Am I to accept my post 60K $$$$ vehicle w/ its goose honk and slow acceleration as NORMAL driving behaviour ????! NO WAY !!!!!!
Suggestions ????

Eric Bjorlin is the rep that was most responsible for helping to make my grinding tranny problem so much "fun". "I don't think there's thing wrong with your transmission, I think it's the way you drive. Wasn't your last car an automatic?" AAARRRUUUGGGHHH!!!<p><img src="http://home.san.rr.com/winefinds/1.jpg" border="0">
