Awaiting my trip to beantown....225 roadster pickup

Well most of the pieces are in place to pick up my new to me 01 quattro roadster, nimbus, bball this weekend. My Miata was sold last week and my SVX is listed on ebay this week {http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31871&item =2406843775&rd=1} That leaves only the Saab conv and the Volvo 1800S this spring and.....

Just wish the weather in New England didn't suck as much as it is right now! However, the top will still have to go down for a short time on the way home. So if you see a nimbus roadster on the road from Boston to Bangor, Maine with a hair challenged middle aged driver behind the wheel.... flash the lights and wish me luck!

at least today is going to be 50 out. But watch the pot holes and rocks on the highway from trucks..

having a windshield put in my Honda today as a matter of fact because of a rock from the highway.

We have a 01 nimbus 225 roadster as well. Great color. Love the baseball interior. Wearing well...like a baseball glove :)

Congrats!! Nice choice of color. Just wear a hat, crank the heat & seat heaters and put up

the rear wind deflector and you'll be just fine.

By the way, do you bring the 1800 to any VCOA or VSA outings?

hehehe....reminds me of this dare my friends and I took....

one day in HS...we carpooled into school in Minneapolis from the subarbs in his BMW 325cic (his father was co-owner of Motorwerks with Walser for all you MN ppl). Our friends dared us to drive in with the top down at a day of their choosing...since it was only the fall we took the dare...

Got a call one Jan day and was told it was 'top down' day. It was something like -15 outside (air temp) and snowing...but we did it driving 70mph in the carpool lane of I394 all the way to Dunwoody Ave.

So...just think...it's not that cold here in maine. And if all else fails stop by Bates and I'll gladly take the top down and drive it for you :)

Your in for a real treat. Congrats......Watch those speeding tickets.(You will speed. Its a TTR rule)

DownEastTTer 03-12-2003 07:23 AM

First thing to unpack is the V1

With out a doubt it must be impossible to stay within the speed limits with a TT. I can't even to that with the Range Rover. Hence the V-1 on the windscreen. Does remind me of the my earlier days when I rallied a Honda 600 coupe. Had it to the floor all the time as was still late to all the check points. Had a hell of a good time thou. 25 in one of those feels like 120 in a normal car!
