Banal, necessary stuff
OK, I love the TT I just ordered. Now to find out some of the banal, but necessary stuff about the car.
1) Does the front windshield defrost/defog okay? Goin' to be driving it in cold weather . . .
2) Would the 16" wheel/tire combination be better in snow and rain?
3) Are the stock (non-Bose) speakers a standard size/resistance that are easily replaced? Is there a single amplifier (where?) or one at each speaker?
Those who didn't get the quattro, do you wish you had it?

Re: Banal, necessary stuff - quattro question
Have FWD. For me it did not matter. When my roads are not plowed in the winter I'm not going anywhere with the TT's ground clearance. When you are high centered you are high centered. On those days I drive my wife's SUV to work and she stays home.
Enjoy the car. Its a blast to drive FWD or Quattro.

Trooper at Northway
was great, just motioned for me to slow down, and continued south as I was going north... reminded me of the mountie, several years ago, who gave me the ticket as I was headed north out of Ft St John, but also told me that he was the only mountie on the road for some 200 miles north and wished me a safe trip...

FWD
I have a fwd. I live in southern Arizona and the roads are usually dry. I did not want to give up any of the rear storage space (Q's have less), did not want lower gas mileage, and did not want the additional mechanical complexity of the Q. For the type of driving that I do, the fwd handles quite nicely.
