Best aftermarket Single DIN Radio
 

I’ve owned my 2004 Audi TT Quattro 225 for a year now, and the radio is too out dated and I’m tired of listening to CD’s lol. Any suggestions on a quality, affordable single Din replacement. Needs to have an aux jack. Thanks!

I bought a Kenwood, but the model I have has been discontinued. This is very close to what I purchased:

It has an aux. input, you can match the display to the red color of the TT's instruments and it's very simple to install, at least with my Bose system. It looks like the cleaned up the controls on this model, compared to mine, which is a good thing. Also, I can still close the door over the radio.

Yes, you do need a wiring harness, bezel and antenna adapter. I bought this one:
The wiring is very easy, the bezel doesn't fit that well, but with a little trimming, I got it in. I also mounted the microphone in the bezel. I had to modify the Kenwood microphone by removing the bullet shaped rear portion and drilling a hole to mount it in the bezel. It works surprisingly well.

Would anyone be able to dm me and assist me installing an aftermarket head unit? I got a Kenwood kmm-bt322u and all the necessary parts/cables/wires. I got most, if not all, the wiring done. My problem is the head unit heats up like crazy after a minute of playing music. I got the bose system in a 2001 TT. I used the rca jacks instead of the speaker wires. Not sure that the issue is.

On that Alpine does the entire display turn red or just the buttons?

Since you are using the preamp outputs, the amp in the head unit are not being used, so the unit should not get hot at all. I would suspect a wiring issue, so you may want to double check your work.
