Default Audi - let more air in the coupe... had to breakdown and tint windows

Well after the first round of 85+ degree days here in the northeast I was forced to surrender...

Given the choice of:
1> cooking the interior when parked and closed
2> only moderate airflow through the vents while driving
3> no rear vent to allow airflow through windows and out behind the front seats.
4> leave the AC cranked kill pickup and mileage
5> tint the windows

After 2500 miles and 2 months I went for the 35% tint which wasn't something I was looking forward to doing. I liked the stock look and extra light from the untinted windows ... but one must compromise in the face of reality.

Still love the car .. but Audi help those who follow

Default Actually the TT does have good air circulation . . .

The 5 slots in the rear hatch are part of the ventilation system and the reason for the privacy screen being a mesh rather than solid. The air circulates through the entire cabin and out the vents in the sides of the rear hatch area and out to the rear suspension.

My pickup and mileage are not at all compromised with the A/C running.

I plan on tinting my windows to keep the car cool when parked and for the looks.

Default I always heard that pickup and mileage would be effected by AC? More on this?

Default How well does the tint film age with the car these days?

Curious how the tint film lasts and if it deteriorates, how that affects removal or re-tinting with the defroster/antennae wires in the hatch. Noticed some edge deterioration on a family members older 944 Porsche that had been tinted.
