Best Bet For 6 Year Old In Back Seat....Booster or Seat Belt Adjuster?
Hi All,
I'm a long, long time lurker here and finally got the chance to own a TT coupe. It's a 2006 3.2 and I'm enamored with it.
Before I ask, I've used the search engine and there has been much discussion about kids in the back seat. Much of that revolves around smaller children and I have not been able to find the answer to this particular question.
I've got a little guy (just turned 6) that wants to ride too (in the back). We've tried several booster seats (Graco Turbobooster) for example. The problem is that they put him up too high and he only has about 1.5" of clearance between his head and the rear glass. You would really want a booster with a narrow base that fits down into the seat cushion indention.
My wife is a little freaked out about the idea of just using a seat belt adjuster like this with no booster, but this might be our best bet:

I don't know if we are going to find a booster seat that is shallow enough to put the belt in the right position on him, but keep him lower.
I prefer not to take the rear cushions out if possible.
Thanks for any advice....this is a great car!

I've found I have to cut up and stack anyone who wants to ride in the back. You can get more people in the trunk area if you stack up the separate pieces and hold them down with a cargo net but remember to cover the carpet in plastic to avoid hard to remove stains.
Sorry I couldn't really answer your question as My kids are WAY older and have their own cars.
