Default bolts on 225 turbo

I am trying to take the bolts off of the turbo/exhaust manifold on my 225 TT. They are external torx bolts and seem to be e15's, but I can't find an e15 socket. An e14 is too small and an e16 is too large. A 12pt 11mm sockets fits ok, but I don't want to strip the bolts. Has anyone else ran across this? How did you get the bolts off. I STFA already and didn't come up with anything. Just a, 'I found it at NAPA.'

Default Doen't look like there is one...>

Are you sure it isn't a "triple square" bolt

External Torx wrenches from the Mcmaster site:
Ratcheting Torx Box Wrenches

Double-end ratcheting Torx wrenches require only a 5° handle swing to turn the fastener. Thin head design fits into tight spaces. Openings are 6 point; angled 15° . Quality imported tools made of heat-treated forged steel with a polished (mirror-like) chrome finish.
Size O'all Lg. Each

E6/E8 5 1/8" 6065A13 $17.50

E10/E12 5 7/8" 6065A15 18.38

E14/E18 6 15/16" 6065A17 21.88

Default Ahhh yes... if I remember correctly the 225 TT is the only application for that bolt too.

Can't remember what I did but I do remember reading about that oddity on the vortex I think it was.

Hah! EXACTLY my situation (thought I had typed this).

Already stripped on bolt. First trying E14 (not slipping down far enough, too small). E16 too big. THen tried 11mm 12pt and stripped.

Spent hours looking for E15, which does NOT seem to exist (found "External Torx PLUS", a new design, but likely not applicable to our TT).

So it must be a E14, and I should have just done more 'hammer it on' to properly seat it.

Still need to look up part number for the bolt to replace the one (so far) mangled on IF I ever get all 3 out.

E14 is correct. Tap in place to fully seat if necessary.

Note that Torx Plus is a 5 point design, not six like standard Torx.

Those ARE E14 bolts.
Part number ($10 each and up):
06A145540K
They are M10x36.
Not sure WHAT material; they are NOT MAGNETIC (and stainless is WAY to week soft), so must be a pretty fancy metallurgy.
Since the TT225 is pretty much the ONLY engine that uses such bolts, I write this selection off as a 'try it' test from VW/Audi.

I replaced with Allen M10x35.

But it gets really crazy when checking out the WASHER under the bolts:
$20 EACH. Yeah.
