Boost Leak driving me CRAZY.....
Okay, I am at the end of my rope. I got a Boost leak which occurs when you accellerate past 3800rpm. The car runs fine until then. But with WOT over 3800rpm you get a Sshishing sound that is definitely air escaping. I have changed DV's from a Stock to a Hyperboost to a Forge DVR with different springs but it always does the same thing. I even took it to the stealer which previously replaced a $2.00 clamp for $154.00 bucks. Which after that it did run fine until the clamp came off again. Then they told me it was the Hose coming off the Turbo. So I let them replace that damn thing and they charged me $600.00 for the Hose incl. Labor. OUTRAGEOUS but it would have been worth it to me if it would've fixed the problem. But it didn't. I took it back to them to fix the problem that I paid through my nose for them to fix. The Tech basically told me it's because of my mods and that they show an overboost and a fault pointing to the Diverter Valve. I told them it's not the diverter Valve since I have 3 different kinds and all of them can't be bad. I told them to do a pressure test on the system and find the leak. They said they don't do that and to return my car to stock so they can properly diagnose it.
I told them to take a flying leap and tried finding the leak myself. I checked every possible hose in that damn car and I even replaced some dry looking vacuum lines to see if that would help but it didn't.
I am at the end of my rope here and I don't know what else to do.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
The car ran great before but now it just runs and a Chevy Cavalier could beat this car.
Very frustrating.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks!

PS: I even replaced the N75 Valve but that didn't do the trick either.

you need to make a pressure tester...
Schwing might be selling them as well. then you will be able to listed for the leak. Or you can start at the turbo and trace all the plumbing and check every hose and clamp until you find it. I would try the pressure tester.

yep>>>
the hose that most frequently succumbs to high boost is the upper hose under/near the battery box...hard to see...and cheap clamps or someone not checking all of them usually winds up showing up somewhere.

Thought I gave you this info the other day?

It sounds like; you're hitting limp mode after overboosting.. Possible areas to look would be..>
The hose from the N75 to the wastegate; they tend to crack when older due to the heat and it's *very* hard to find.
The Sshishing might be the ECU releasing boost pressure using the DV (it can do that using the N249) as a backup method when the wastegate control doesn't work properly.
This is all assuming they are pulling an overboost code (something like charge pressure control -- limit exceeded)
