Default Boost Machine question

Does turning onset full counter clockwise and boost full clockwise disable the boost machine?

Finished new turbo, clutch, FMIC today. I should have waited to install the boost machine, but I got too excited and did it anyway; dialed in 1 onset, 3 boost. After about 20 miles, I got impatient again and gave it 20psi. But it started sputtering at 17psi. I turned the BM onset full CCW, boost full CW. But it's stil sputtering. Does doing this disable the BM or do I need to completely disconnect it?

I checked VAG, but no fault codes. Could this be inidcative of a vacuum or boost leak somewhere?

Default You have to...>

Turn Onset CounterCLOCKWISE
Turn Boost CLOCKWISE

To turn it off. It will still have a slight affect on the car though, but really minimal. Remove the tubes from the BM and join together to remove it completely from the system Sputtering usually indicates a fuel problem though and is usually caused by a weakening MAF. If you have a VAG, check Block 32 and report back..

Default A little high..>>

(Lean correction). I like to see it +/- 5%
With a **** it usually runs a -4%
you could try a 3rd gear run to check the MAF output at speed. 2K to redline. Log block 003 0r 002 (can't remember) for G/sec readings..

Default I let it sputter enough it to report some fault codes:

16684 - random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
16685 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected

I did replace the plugs with Denso IR20's (they didn't have IR22's). The old plugs were oil soaked from the turbo failure. I'll put the old plugs in and see if it changes anything.

Default Oh crap. I threw the plugs away already and today was trash day.

Guess I'll just get some OEM plugs.
