Boost testing done

I have a 225QR with an APR chip. It seems that I am getting about 11psi in stock setting and 14 psi in chipped mode. From yesterday, these sound low, and I should be around 15 and 19 respectively.

Does it sound like I have a boost leak? Where should I start looking for leaks?

Wow I spike to about 20 and hold at around 17 on my VW GTI 1.8T with APR chip. You must have a boost leak.

Check the hose right before the IC you might have a clamp that's loose or the hose that's actually off. Check that and also the rubber pressure hose on the turbo which might be loose as well.

did this happen to you for a while? or once? limp mode? i don't have a TT YET so i don't know for sure but considering the same engine, i think i'm guiding you to the right direction?

No... it is definitely not limp

I just got it back from the dealer today. Any limp mode would have been cleared. I just installed the boost gauge, so I am not sure how long it has been going on. Let's just say that I was suspecting there was a leak, since I didn't really feel too much difference between stock and chipped programs.

Check out my recent posting about my low boost

It turned to be a bad/failing MAF sensor. All is very well now ... with my APR, new MAF, hyperboost DV and dieselgeek short shift.

I also thought it was a boost leak.
