Default Bose stereo stuck in safe mode problem. Help?

My 'premium' bose set itself back to safe mode for some reason. At the dealer when it did this last week i held down the the rds and scan buttons (i think) and we entered a code to fix it. This time, #1 - i cant remember the code (1069 or something?) #2 - after 2 code attempts, holding down the 2 buttons simultaneously isnt doing anything. wont even get me to the prompt to enter a damn code. please help. what's the code and why isnt it letting me even enter it now? can i solve this without taking it into the dealership?

thanks...

Default take a large hammer and...

check inside your owners manual...theres alittle paper credit card sized card which should have your bose code written on it...

Default Dealer has code.

This is not the same for any car. Like your VIN, it is unique to your car. Call the dealer and he/shew can supply it.

Default same thing happened to me... they will have to replace the head unit.

after two attempts, the unit will lock up... the manual says that it will unlock if you leave the unit on and the key in for an hour... most of the time they are locked for good and will have to be replaced....

Read the Manual - you need to wait to try again.

To reset the radio after 2 bad tries, you must leave it on for one hour. however, you need to know the code!
