Default Both keyfobs stopped working. Won't activate locks/alarm.

I now have to use my key in the keyhole to lock the car and turn on the alarm. The trunk release doesn't work either.

I let the car warm up about 10min. every morning. I was using one key to start the car, and the other to lock the door from the outside so no one could rip it off ( there were some reports that people in our town were have their cars stolen like this. )

In any case, while the car was on, I tried to use the other keyfob to unlock the trunk. No luck. Shortly after that, they stopped working. Both of 'em. I tried to reverse the process, but no luck.

Default Put the key in the door and hold the unlock button down for a couple seconds....

It sounds as if you only need to reprogram the remotes. You might need to turn the key before holding the button. The procedure is explained in the manual. Fairly common but easily fixed.

Default On another note; Why do you leave the car idling for 10 min.?

that is the absolute worst way to warm up a vehicle, and does more harm than good.
Is it just because you want a warm car?

Default because my commute is 90sec. around the corner....

I need my car during the day to go to other meetings, but seriously, it takes me exactly 90sec. to get from my driveway to my office. I would walk, but its way too cold now here in Metro Detroit. I figured letting the engine warm up is better than repeatedly driving it and shutting it off after 2 minutes. Let me know if there's a better idea...

Default

If I don't let it warm up a few min, it will barely shift. Guess I'm used to Honda shifters, tho.

I don't see why you can't just drive it immediately if you keep the revs down.
