Default Brake dust shield a good idea for out TT's?

Eventhough vented, its obvious that it won't get as much airflow to cool the rotors but for normal driving, is it really that big of a factor? Im also concerened if it affects wheel balance. It would just be nice not to clean the brake dust on my wheels so often.
